Glossary Term: Nondiscriminatory Evaluation

Definition: Refers to evaluating for disabilities in such a way as to not discriminate on the basis of race or culture. This is one of the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and is designed to minimize the potential for inaccuracies in evaluations to result in incorrect placement in educational programs.
