Why Is This Important?

We at the IAN Project are interested in finding out whether people who have not had the opportunity to participate in ASD-focused research before are able to take part in the IAN project.  One of the benefits of online research is that you can include people who live far away from any major university or other research institution.  It is also a type of research parents can take part in at their own convenience, without taking time off work, etc.

Data from IAN Research:

Pie chart showing what percentage of children with ASD have participated in prior ASD-related research.

This chart shows that only 14% of the children in IAN Research with an Autism Spectrum Disorder have ever participated in an autism-focused research study before.
