Why Is This Important?
Researchers are interested in genetic factors: do issues involving development or learning appear together with ASDs in some families? Knowing whether a person has received special education services (other than speech therapy) will tell us if they ever experienced difficulties in these areas.
Data from IAN Research:
This chart shows that 4% of the mothers taking part in IAN Research, at some time in their lives, have received special education services.
