Why Is This Important?
Researchers are interested in genetic factors: do issues involving speech and communication appear together with ASDs in some families? Knowing whether a person has received speech or language therapy will tell us if they have experienced difficulty in this area.
Data from IAN Research:
This chart shows that 11% of the mothers taking part in IAN Research, at some time in their lives, have received speech or language therapy.
