Hi,

My son Dov is 15 years old and he has autism and three years ago he was diagnosed with osteoporosis. I had never heard of this combination before but since then I have heard of a few kids like Dov. I'd like to know if there are other kids out there with autism and osteoporosis and if so, I would like to get in touch. I have a hunch this is a subgroup. If your child has autism and osteoporosis or has suffered from a fracture or broken bone or scoliosis, please contact me at: portiaiversen@gmail.com. Thanks.

oh my goodness. I read your book. It was your book, the part about how an autistic person can't process sensory information at the same time, how the other boy could listen, but not see at the same time, that got me to asking my son questions about what things look like and feel like to him. He is three, but he is super smart and very vocal he says things are "complicated" and "Simple" and "Difficult" and a whole bunch of other things that normal three year olds wouldn't use in every day conversation. Recently I asked him why he didn't like to hug my mom and my daughter. He said they are cold, but they are not physically cold. I was trying to figure out why his body would be confusing tactile sensors with temperature sensors. Any Ideas?
