I took my son to a DAN! doctor, who said to start liquid zeolite and brainchild nutritionals, as well as a probiotic (using Dr. Bock's probiotic companion with good results already). My question, does anyone have any feedback on the liquid zeolite, and a less $$ multi vitamin? I know I have to look out for cheap filler vitamins (non-methylated b-vits are a good red flag).
Thanks.

Just a reminder to Blackstarzero and all of our participants and readers:
If you make a claim regarding any kind of evidence, please provide a reference. IAN Community is a research-focused autism site. We therefore request that any claims are supported so that readers can check the source. They can then form their own opinions as the worthiness of the evidence, and how much it will influence their own thinking and decision making.
If, for example, you say, "Zeolite has not been shown scientifically to have any affect on autism or to be safe to use" -- please provide a reference so others can do their own research on the topic.
If readers are interested, we have some excellent background information on the research process in general, and on how to become an informed consumer of research, here: http://www.iancommunity.org/cs/understanding_research/overview
Thanks so much!

With all due respect there no research by any credible organizations proving that Zeolite safe, and that it can help autistic people there is your proof.
Lets say it does help how much is to much??? What are the side affects?? Can it be taken internally? What are the chances of an allergenic reaction?? What are the signs of an allergic reaction. What is the treatment for an allergic reaction. Does with other health treatments??
Just because it is natural does not mean its safe, some people have what is called Aquagenic Urticaria which means they are allergic to water. You can pretty be allergic to anything.
I will admit I was wrong in saying it has no medical use it does have one noted use, in the medical field?? However I stand firm it is risky taking this, without credible organizations doing research proving it is safe.

Blackstarzero, I understand what you are saying. I was also unable to find any studies on this. Looking through the IAN data, it appears only two families participating in IAN Research have reported on using this product as an autism treatment so far.
It appears from a Google search that the product is a chelating agent sometimes recommended by Defeat Autism Now (DAN) physicians. I could find some information on planned studies, but not yet on completed studies. Of course, this is why Nate'smom is looking for feedback!
I hope those who have had some experience with this product will comment.

DAN! Dr. Peter Prociuk, West Chester PA, added liquid zeolites to my son's treatment protocol on our first, and so far only, visit a few weeks ago. Dr. Prociuk was brand specific (Natural Cellular Defense, Waiora).
I would really appreciate some feedback from parents/care givers that have used liquid zeolites. I read a claim that it was listed in the FDA "GRAS" list, but I haven't been able to find it to validate. http://www.zeolite.com/
I have found a "anti-cancer" study http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11434724
Thanks

Anyone using them as part of the detox protocol, please provide some feedback.
Thanks
