12 year old daughter with Aspergers

:D why am i participating ? well all we parents world wide have to participate if we need to find a cure and a system of cures and remedy for this very sad illness , that afflicts our children , I have started prayers as well and pray to God to heal these children

I found out my son has AS last year. Since then, I have gotten some great information on Asperger's. I had not heard of AS before his diagnosis, so it came as quite a shock. Last weekend I participated with his school and the American Autism Society in a walk a thon. I was blown away by the number of people that showed up and walked, ran, and just gave their support. I feel that autism awarness has come a long way, but it has many more miles to go. Each one of us needs to do our part as we well know. For those of you that are seeking help and cannot find it with your doctors or therapist, please go to the Autism Society website. They have great information. Fortunately, autism is more recognized and with our support, we will be able to find answers. I'm really happy that I found this site. It feels good to know that you are not alone.
