I printed information about IAN out and gave it to my son's teachers at school. They inturn made copies and sent them home with the kids in three different special education classes.

J&JMom: That is wonderful. We appreciate your efforts to spread the word very much. Our immediate goal is 10,000 children with ASDs in IAN Research, and we still have a long way to go!

Everyone: For more ideas on how to get the word out about IAN, check out our "Spread the Word" page here:

Thank you all so much!

I think it is good to get the word out about this website. I am glad I found it. I am studying special education in graduate school and my 22 month old son is displaying behaviors that make me concerned.

Usually I tell parents I meet and give them the URL for this site and Autism Speaks. I am currently in contact with a clinical licesned social worker at my sons' school. She is an amazing woman. I usually give her phone numbers and website addresses for a lot of different things that affect our community: from abuse counseling to homeless shelters and Autism Awareness. It is surprising that social workers and doctors in a community don't know about this site and it is a shame that most don't even try to make an effort to find out about programs for families that are at risk.
